Welcome to the online UNC Charlotte Region 6 NC Science & Engineering Fair registration.  The Fair will be held at the UNC Charlotte Cone University Center, February 6 & 7, 2015. Campus Map

Judge Registration -- Deadline: January 30, 2015 Email Alisa Wickliff at abwickli@uncc.edu.

Extended Deadline to register online is January 23, 2015.

Mandatory-- All participants must set-up their project boards on Friday February 6, 2015 at UNC Charlotte Cone University Center. Campus Map. Project Board setup will begin at 6:30 pm through 9:00 pm or until all projects are setup. You may want to plan to come later to avoid waiting.

Required Paperwork -- Bring copies (keep originals) of your Research Plan, all ISEF Forms, Abstract and Permission Slip to mandatory project setup on February 6, 2015. At a minimum an Abstract must be posted vertically at the Project/Exhibit Board table for all projects.

Required Inspection-- Each Project Board must be inspected for Safety and Display Rules before you leave the mandatory project setup on February 6, 2015. Click Safety and Display Rules for more information. 

Registration Process and Information
Each participant must login at http://ncsefreg6b.sfiab.com/ for online registration for the UNC Charlotte Region 6 NC Science & Engineering Fair. You will be provided an unique registration number that you will use to complete your registration at Step by Step Registration for Student Participation 

To complete your fair registration you will need to go to the UNC Charlotte Region 6 NC Science & Engineering Fair website at http://cstem.uncc.edu/ to complete the registration process.  You will be leaving the Science Fair in a Box website when you click here so make sure you have read the information below before you leave this website.

Other important information:  

  • Prior to experimentation all students must submit a Research Plan (a research plan is not a research report/paper) to your teacher/adult supervisor to include:
          A. Question or problem being addressed 
          B. Hypothesis or Engineering Goals 
          C. Detailed description of methods or procedures 
          D. Bibliography – minimal 3 for Elementary and 5 for Junior and Senior
    Please note that data is not to be included. 
  • The Research Plan is not a form but needs to be included with all paperwork. This is used for the Scientific Review Committee (SRC) to assess if all ISEF rules and regulations are followed.
  • No Elementary students can do projects involving culturing micro- organisms (bacteria, mold, fungus, etc.) in any location (school, home, or regulated institution) no exceptions. Click here for rules.
